There are many alternatives to protein powder found right at home. Some being eggs, milk, cheese and meat. Having a well prepared meal with one of these can provide a healthier, and more natural work out with giving you the same effects as protein powder, depending on how much you eat. Another alternatives would be eat foods with protein added, for example protein cereals or granola bars. Choosing the healthier alternative also provides a more natural approach while at the same time giving you a bunch of other nutrients you need.
